Christmas Eve at Kahal

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 24 · Nochebuena

Kahal means water — the word for it in Pericú, the ancient language of Baja California Sur. It’s a fitting name for a restaurant built where the land ends and the Pacific begins, and on Nochebuena, water is the whole story: the view, the sound, and the source of the meal.

On Christmas Eve, Kahal sets a multi-course seafood dinner al fresco under the stars — fresh-caught and sustainable, each course drawn from a different stretch of the peninsula and cooked a few steps from the water it came from. The night moves as it goes: start with sunset on the rooftop, a glass in hand, then settle into the dining room by the waves as the evening draws in. Prefer to order your own way? An à la carte menu is offered alongside.

$2,500 pesos per person · Kahal · 5–10 p.m.

Hotel guests can reserve on the Stay app beginning October 1. Reservations are also accepted on OpenTable beginning in October. These evenings sell out.
