Nochebuena Beach Bonfire

Christmas Eve ends on the sand. Below Kahal, a bonfire on the beach at 10 p.m. — Mexican hot chocolate, s'mores, and cacao by the fire, the Pacific in the dark, the stars overhead. Pull up close and let the night run slow: waves rolling in, embers snapping, the cool air off the water. It's the warm, quiet close to Nochebuena — a Baja Christmas Eve, spent by the fire with the sea a few steps away.
